I've always said that I don't like to pay a lot of money for candles, because I don't see much sense in spending a lot on something I'm just going to set on fire. You might feel the same about toilet paper. Why pay a lot for paper that you're.... Well, I'll let you finish that sentence.
That's probably even truer now that the economy is putting the pinch on most of us. At the same time, toilet paper has gotten more and more deluxe with aloe, extra plies, quilting and whatever else can be imagined to make us spend more on such a basic thing. The idea of getting back to basic is pretty appealing. So how basic is basic?
Charmin Basic is good toilet paper by any standard. It is single ply, but it's a thick ply embossed with a grippy texture that cleans well. It is certainly strong enough to prevent "stinky finger" and soft enough (one family member tells me) to use while suffering with hemorrhoids. (Ouch!) I and everyone in my household give it a positive review.
"Basic" implies "cheaper", and it is. At my local Wally-World, Charmin Basic in a 12 pack sells for 1.4¢ per square foot. Charmin Ultra-Strong sells for 3.1¢ and Ultra-Soft sells for 3¢ per square foot.
For less than half the price, you don't have to give up half the comfort or strength. This makes Charmin Basic a very good value.

If you are looking for a clean rear end, then this is the product for you. A very versatile product. It is great for wiping your; nose, mouth, cheeks, table, hands, and of course your hiney.

I simply hate shopping in a store and rather do it all online. Here is an answer to one of the basic needs we all have... and the item works well too so I gave it a five star. It is better than the Scott brand I used to buy.

Well, it works!
Like the previous poster, I HATE shoppping in person, at the store, or whatever you want to call it. If I could have my groceries shipped to my house, I would! This is good toilet paper, cheaper than what I can buy at Wal-Mart and it comes via Fedex within a few days. What else could you ask for? It's the basic tissue....nothing fancy or super thick. It's not so thin that it falls apart. It's just.....basic. They're pretty good size rolls, hense the name "Big Rolls." Like I stated, it's cheaper than Wal-Mart, and I didn't have to fight the crowd to get it! 5 stars from me!
